He will tell you that Sir Vyvin has a picture of the sword in his room. When you get back to Falador, speak to Sir Vyvin’s squire again to fill him in on what’s going on. But, he needs to see a picture of the sword, so you will need to head back to Falador. Give your pie to him.Īfter Thurgo eats the pie, talk to him again and he will agree to help you smith a new sword for Sir Vyvin. Speak to him, and find out that his name is Thurgo, and that he loves Redberry pies. South of Port Sarim, at Mudskipper’s Point, there will be a house with an Imcando Dwarf found within. Or, simply buy the required ingredients and make one. You can buy Redberry pies from Romily Weaklax in the Cook’s Guild, which requires 32 Cooking and a chef’s hat to access.

If you have access to Fairy Rings, use code AIQ for quick access to this location.īefore visiting the Imcando Dwarf, make sure the Redberry pie is in your inventory. In terms of item requirements, you will need a full Redberry pie, two iron bars, a pickaxe of any kind, and some blurite ore, which is obtained during the quest. Note that the 15 Mining and 15 Smithing requirements for Ironmen can be bypassed by picking up a few iron bars (two are needed for the quest) from an item spawn just northwest of the Ferox Enclave, in the Wilderness. If you play as an Ironman, you will need 15 Mining, 15 Smithing, and 10 Cooking. They are very easy to obtain, but you will not be able to progress the quest without these requirements.Įnsure you have at least 10 Mining, and are not afraid of level 53 and 57 monsters roaming an area you will be visiting. For example, recently I've been working towards 99 Agility and one thing I did was try to get 1% towards 99 per day, which was probably like an hour and half it definitely is still a grind, but it was easier to motivate myself that way than looking at it as "I need 7M exp" or "I need to do this for 100+ hours".Before beginning the Knight’s Sword, take a moment to make sure you meet the requirements. But if you just keeping working a bit at your goals without trying to rush as much, they can be more enjoyable since you can balance them with things that aren't as grindy. If you just want to Runecraft for 10 hours a day, unless you enjoy Runecrafting you'll have a rough time. But it works better when you always do a method that you can at least tolerate even if you don't enjoy it. Like if you know you'll get this useful benefit, that helps keep you motivated. I think another important thing is having a desire to train, ideally more than just the reward. Though sometimes it can be a bit excessive. With slower leveling, skills also have more value like getting 82 Runecrafting is a much bigger deal because it took more time and effort. It definitely does feel nicer to level quicker but then you also finish it quicker. Both games have a large amount of grinding and time-sinks, but RS3 has shifted more of it away from the skills and into other content. How do you deal with it? You just keep going. Also I have zero OSRS friends and would like people to talk with so if you're interested in that let me know! I don't really know the point of this post was but I don't really have anybody else to talk OSRS with so yeah here it is my thoughts on making the switch over. I'm sure i'll get loads of rs3 hate comments for even mentioning it here but yeah. I love all of runescape in general whether it be rs3 or osrs so I want to experience it all but getting there is gonna take me such a long time. I really want to experience the new content that OSRS has to offer like raids and the new bosses that RS3 doesn't have. I'm sure I'd get use to it eventually and this isn't hating on the game at all.

How do you deal with skills taking so long to level? With runecrafting for example if you spent an entire afternoon at higher levels you might not even get 1 level. For certain reasons I want to take a break from my RS3 character and play OSRS but holy shit is the progress so slow especially runecrafting.
